Jet stepped up to the plate late in the game....
These clamps are rock solid and heavy. They seem drop proof so far as the red seems a mix of plastic and rubber. Clamping pressure is easy on the hands as they designed a wide diam. size hex grip much easier to twist then classic round grips. The dog system and framing blocks are very well made. They are the ultimate "one size fits all" clamping system. The dogs go into the the bottom of the clamps as well as a movable dog insert on the back of the clamp to allow perfect positioning on any dog hole pattern. Very well thought out high build quality...I plan to buy lots more...
update 9/13/06
AFter using these clamps for some time a few more thoughts. I have recently been testing the clamping pressure of all my make clamps and by far the jet clamps are the best of all the parallel clamps I own... I have most of them. The big handle with hex grip allows sufficient and fast clamping pressure vs. most other parallel clamps with thin round grips.
Update: Further testing with a pressure gauge has indicated many of my Jets are under performing in the pressure category. Wood Magazone did a very good article in the ~Aug 07 issue...if you are in the market for lots of parallel clamps i suggest reading the test results in this article. The Stanley's actually out performed all the clamps. More pressure = less clamps needed on a glue-up.
The only downside to these Jets are... they have not discounted the price :-) and they are quite heavy vs. any of the other clamps. So if you don't need a lot of clamping pressure the other less expensive clamps are easier to use if you constantly moving the clamps around the shop... yep they are that heavy :-) If your pretty strong it probably wouldn't bother ya much. But with that extra weight you get the biggest jaws made and the easiest clamps to apply pressure which often allows you to use less clamps....

good tools great price
I am pretty happy with this set. I will be comparing this set to a 5 chisel set I previously purchased from Woodcraft at a sale price of $86 after tax original price was $130 + tax. The PSI set cost me under $50 with free shipping and no tax. The blades on the PSI chisels measure between 6.25 to 6.5 inches from ferrule to tip which is the same as the more expensive Woodcraft set. The Woodcraft set came with what I felt were clumsy overly large overly long and slippery handles that felt too light while the PSI handles are made with denser/harder/heavier wood that IMO handle better for more detailed work. The overall fit and finish of the PSI set is better except that the Woodcraft set is sharpened better. For some reason the edges of the PSI chisels that are supposed to be flat (not the ground cutting edges) round over near the tips of the new tools. Grinding/sharpening gets rid of the problem for good but that means you'll have to spend more time preparing the tools for use. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5. The PSI set also comes in an softwood/plywood case while the Woodcraft set came in a sad cardboard box. Funny enough the PSI case needed some fixing just as I had read from the other reviews here. It wasn't broken though there just wasn't enough glue applied to the lid and bottom of the case. A tiny bit of glue and some light clamping pressure fixed it up like new - a job that really should be a piece of cake for anyone. Amazon did a good job of packing it. The case is actually a nice touch. It's good enough to use on it's own but I keep all my tools in a large rolling chest with drawers. The tools will roll around even if your drawers are lined with the good tacky drawer liners so I unscrewed the hinges of the box removed the lid and placed the box in one of my shallow drawers. This saved me the trouble of having to make individual partitions for each chisel inside my drawers to keep them in place. The PSI set was overall better cost about 40% less and came with three extra chisels so I returned the more expensive set. I found all the tools included useful except I don't need two skew chisels of similar size so I plan on grinding the tip into a different shape when the need arises. The well known Sorby chisels are good but I couldn't justify spending $30-$40 for just one tool when an extra $10-$20 buys me eight of these.

Comparatively good value
This supplements a dust collector through the bottom of my cabinet saw -- and cuts way down on fine sawdust put into the air from above. I use it with a Fein vac (my main dust collector is only a Jet 1.5hp unit piped some distance away) and find the combination works well.
I also use this with a Biesemeyer splitter in the back and find the combination to be safe and unobtrusive. The construction on this is adequate -- in my case I added some bracing from the ceiling. Bottom line -- with a little work this does the job at about half the price compared to some alternatives.

Good chuck for the money
I've had this chuck for over a year now and have used it quite a bit. I find it easy to use and reliable. You get a fairly complete set of jaws as part of the standard package - I added the large flat jaws but wish they were even bigger.
Someone asked about the screws holding the jaws on - I also worried about losing one or more in the shavings when I was changing the jaws so I contacted PSI and asked them about buying some more. The sent me eight screws free. If you're having problems (like with the allen wrench) contact them. I've always found them extremely responsive.

I love it!
This is the first woodworkers vise that I have ever owned and I did as much research as possible before buying. I found at least four models in various 'box' stores and woodworkers stores. Every one seemed crudely made. I compared a few models available from Amazon but lacked enough experience to make an informed choice. I ordered the Wilton because of the generally favorable reviews. It looks and feels like a quality tool. I think that I will like the fact that the screw is covered by the frame and will not easily collect dust. My first serious use was to debark some small logs. I found that the outside jaw face swiveled nicely to provide a firm grip on almost any log the mechanism was quick to operate and a pleasure to use and there was no 'give' whatsoever when I peeled off large strips of wood with my drawknife.
I am really happy with my choice.

poorly constructed non-user friendly and generally more hassle than it's worth
Most people are going to buy this for the fingernail profile tool since those of us with the expendable income to purchase an item like this are probably turning bowls. (As opposed to "real" stuff like table legs.) A correctly ground fingernail profile like the espresso "god shot" is definitely a hit or miss endeavor that may cause premature hair loss. BUT a jig will make it easy right? Not so fast. First of all the knobs that hold the jig fixtures in place will hit your grinder when you adjust them unless you put about 6 inches of wood underneath your grinder first. After doing so the regular grinding platform fixture is too far away from the wheel to be of any use. But hey you can still use the fingernail jig right? Yea well mine was so poorly put together that it held my gouges at a slanted angle producing a slanted fingernail grind. Hard to explain but fwiw I purchased the wolverine fixture and it works perfectly. So that's why it gets two stars. You can use the wolverine fingernail fixture with it. So it's not a complete waste I guess.

Worth the Price
I had a choice in hose selection when planning out my DC system. I figured I needed about 50 feet in connection my 6 pieces of equipment. I could either purchase this hose or 5 ten foot lengths of the "other" black hose. I bought this 50 foot hose and one ten foot section for comparision. I'm glad I got this hose.
Granted the 50 foot hose is not as thick but it is thick enough and sturdy enough for all my applications. It is much easier to work with more flexible. For the price this hose is the way to go. Even in cutting the hose I had to poke a hole thru the hose with a pointed pair of scissors. The semi-blunted end of the wire cutters would not poke a hole in the hose!!
The ten foot hose has to be cut in the exact length needed it will not collapse if cut too long. If cut too short...... The 50 foot hose will collapse and if you have a machine on coasters then when properly planned will expand when the machine is used. The 50 foot hose arrives in a box that is only about 4 feet long the ten foot hose arrived in a box much larger and is not compacted (it can't be).
This hose gives more options the only negative thing in comparsion to the 10 foot hose is it is not as rigid or stiff. Which can be a positive thing.More detail ...
Lousy quality control.
Received item but the fans would not work. Had to remove the cover on the wiring section on unit to find wire not inserted in the terminal strip.Fixed problem & unit works ok. But the claim that fans are super quiet is not true. Also was missing part of the foam strips (which were described in the manual as cork). I plan on contacting the Manufacturer & letting them know that had we not needed this for my wife's project it would have been returned.

Great shop addition at phenomenal price!
Bessey clamps are first class all the way and there's a lot packed into this package. With amazon.com inventory reduction the deal was so good I ordered a second set after I got the first. As the saying goes "You can never have too many clamps." I hadn't ever seen Bessey pipe clamps on the shelf (only Pony and cheap Chinese knock-offs) and these don't disappoint: well-finished and easy-operating. Bottom line is to price these clamps out separately and see what a great deal you're getting.

Very Nice with some limitations
I have used my PPS-2 'system' for a couple of months and I am very happy I bought it. This is especially useful when you have to shave just a bit off of the end of a panel especially if you have to taper the cut. Just clamp the guide down and the saw glides along right where you want it.
I won't re-hash all of the points covered by the many other reviewers. First you can get a better feel for this tool by checking out the reviews of its predecessor the PSI Woodworking PPS-B Portable Panel Saw System. Note that the complaints for that system can be summarized as: "the system is too flimsy". Well the new PPS-2 system seems to have taken care of that. Note the difference in shipping wt. (42# for the PPS-2 vs about 24# for the PPS-B). I have been impressed by the solid feel of the PPS-2. My saw glides smoothly along the straight edge with no deflection. The only small complaint is that the two pieces of the guide are connected with two rods each with about 6 set screws. This takes a few minutes every time you connect/disconnect it. I only use the full 9' of the guide when ripping sheets. Otherwise the 4.5' section is easier to work with. As other reviewers stated be ready to modify the plate or your saw in order to get them attached and plan on purchasing a dedicated saw for the PPS-2.
Update: After reading other reviewer comments I don't understand how anyone can make this thing deflect significantly. My saw glides so effortlessly across the guide that you do not need to put any lateral pressure on the guide. If you attached a piece of hardboard under the gauge (highly recommended to reduce set up time) as described as an option in the manual it further stiffens the guide. Also I can't comment on the supplied clamps because I don't use them; it is so easy to just use 'quick clamps'--and they haven't slipped on me yet.
Another update: After using this a bit more (about a year) I now understand how this unit can deflect in the middle of the cut. If you do not bolt the hardboard or plywood stiffener under the guide (as I mentioned above) this guide will deflect at the center if you are using the full 9' length. So this eliminates the option of using 1/2 the guide for shorter cuts and combining both halves for longer rips. That is if you buy this for 8' cuts permanently connect both halves of the guide. If you want to use it for shorter cuts be wary about joining the two halves (You will probably need to devise a way to beef up the joint beyond the means provided by PSI). This limits the usefulness of the guide.
I would like to change my rating to 4 stars but Amazon will not allow me to do it!

Astrounding accuracy.
This fence along with the templates provided at first seems to be aimed solely at delivering fancy dovetail operations. The tool provides the best accuracy I've seen for this task. If you know and understand dovetails the specific methods of use for the fence and templates will be clear and you will appreciate its ability to repeat accurate dovetails as well as streamline your operation. On the other hand if you have never cut a dovetail by hand - or do not understand the geometry needed to make good dovetails this is not the way to learn. If you just have to have this tool "to grow into" be sure to work a few joints by hand or by router first until you understand the nature of the task before learning this system. Learning on this system could very well confuse or frustrate a dovetail novice. There are other excellent dovetail jigs and fixtures out there (and some really poor ones as well) but the set of templates provided in this system along with the extreme adjustment capabilities make this unit the most flexible by far. If you are into `trick' dovetails this is the tool.
To me the best thing about this fence is what it can do aside from dovetails. It can pop onto your table saw drill press shaper or sander and turn it into a machine-shop quality wood cutting machine (or metal I suppose although I don't do metal so I can't truly say). Precise movements of the micrometer style adjustment of this fence can get you an accuracy that is not easy to get any other way. Precise ripping drilling or sanding - in the order of about two thousandths of an inch are easily obtained (the tool adjust to 1 thousandth. But in my humble opinion the flexibility of wood and cutting heads make the practical everyday accuracy about 2 thousandths). In my endeavors I have used it to make a precise repair parts for an intricate inlaid floor repair replacing a cooling tower watertight wooden connector and to make an airtight joint on a vacuum table without using sealers or glues. Just wood to glass - but very accurate wood.
It is not a tool I use everyday. Quite often however there arises a task that only this tool can accomplish. For the serious woodworker this tool can expand your horizons by giving you an accuracy that is easy to obtain and highly repeatable. With the caveats mentioned above this fence gets a five.

A great set
What they don't tell you when you buy a lathe is that it's only the beginning of the money you'll be spending. You need tools to cut wood with (that part is obvious) you need a way of sharpening of those tools and you need ways of holding the wood while you shape it. This chuck set up gives you several options for that and it looks good doing it.
I frankly don't know what advantage the titanium coating gives this product over the other model but I will admit that it looks pretty fancy. I bought this set because it seemed complete: several sets of jaws that are exchanged fairly easily along with a center that can be clamped in there (to allow you to do some spindle work without removing the chuck) and a screw chuck.
I did have trouble with said screw: it failed shearing off shortly after I started using it. Since they don't stock individual replacement parts Amazon put me in touch with the manufacturer who readily agreed to replace it. No further complaints!
I had always heard how addictive turning was but I found it very frustrating also. This chuck system has helped with that since it's reliable and versatile. I have accessorized it with a pair of larger jaws for finishing off the bottoms of larger bowls. I'm still a rank amateur when it comes to turning but at least I can't blame my tools.
Note: changing the jaws means removing several small black screws. If you're doing this on the lathe do yourself a favor and put something under the chuck to catch those screws before you drop them into the sea of shavings all over your floor!!! And keep a magnetic pickup tool around to help find them when you drop them anyhow.

Unsuitable at any price.
The package arrived and the 50' of hose was in a 4' box. When I opened the box it turned out to be what you might describe as a heavy duty dryer hose. I pulled on the end to extend a portion of the hose and being still cold the hose broke at about 6" in. The next thing I noticed was the box was printed 12 mill vinyl in red ink but there was a sticker added at the end of the box that said 6 mill vinyl.
The 50' was only $50 bucks so I thought I may keep it as a back up that could be made into whatever size I needed and that it may be somewhat more durable when warmed up.
Several days later I hooked it to my 110v planer then to the dust collector. Within 30 minutes holes were beginning to appear in the creases of the hose. This product might make a great dryer hose with lint passing through but don't attempt to use it for woodworking it is much to delicate for its intended use.

This is a great photo album. The stickers that are included are very convenient. I love that there's a space for a photo on the cover. Also there is tons of writing space next to the photos so it's easy to label stuff. The pink color is soft and pretty. Good solid quality.
